Indepublishing CIA promotes a self-publishing journey that connects authors to their markets


We believe that authors need more than just a printed book.

The self-publishing journey should not stall or halt once the book is printed, although this is the experience of many self-published authors. Correctly presented, your book is a sales tool to build your commercial value and find your full potential.


We believe that book reviewers and agents/publishers
need help finding the gems.


Agents, publishers, film scouts and book reviewers – they all know that there are some great undiscovered gems out there but cannot invest the time in searching for them.

Indepublishing CIA seeks these gems, polishes them further and actively promotes these books to rights buyers. We act as Agents for these selected titles, selling rights and seeking mainstream representation.

Biography

  • Joanna Anthony has spent 15 years in brand marketing, working on some of the world's biggest brands (such as Miller; Kodak; Coca-Cola, Nestle, McCormicks; Scholl) and working with some of the top brand owners.
  • This work includes brand evaluation which involves identifying the essence of the brand in order to truly understand the reason to buy ie. why it is for them.
  • Books are no different from brands… they have a specific target audience. Shoppers will choose a book in minutes; the jacket is 74% of the decision to purchase – the book must talk directly to its intended reader.
  • The Indepublishing CIA has built up a fantastic database of contacts, and has earned the respect of these contacts because we don’t just bombard them with every book we produce. We create a targeted list of contacts, and approach them with a clear reason as to why we believe the book is of interest to them


How we can work together

  • Call me or email me to discuss your publishing plans. If I believe that I can help you and you will receive worthwhile benefit from consultancy, we will agree some next steps. I charge £50 per hour and recommend at least 3 hours to provide a good, starter marketing plan; equally you can book me on retainer to partner you in implementing a marketing and promotional campaign.
